The problem with the legalization of anything is it instantly creates an industry and that industry tries to grow ever larger. Abortion, suicide, drugs will automatically spin off building rentals, personel, professional societies, insurance...lots of knock-on cash flow and a huge cadre of related lobiests whose job is to increase revenue. That is just one aspect of the moral side effects. Just legalization meant abortion would never “rare” as in safe, legal and “rare.”
