Having consumed a lot of fast food in my younger days, I’m sure I’ve drunk at least a gallon of urine over the course of that time, and eaten God-knows-what. At least with the urine it all comes out sanitary and it’s mostly water.

There have always been deviants and losers like these. In the old days they had little scope in which to damage others, and powerful social constraints, of family, kin, village and church, offered at least some control over their actions, and at least a lack of anonymity. There was also a greater degree of innocence back then. Exotic crimes were much less known, or possible.
Modern anonymity and ubiquitous communications puts such people out of contact with social constraints and social connections and offers new avenues of crime and mischief.
