Those RINO types are a dime-a-dozen. If someone who was previously close to Trump, or at the highest levels of the party ... yes, there is a career at MSNBC, CNN ...

Now I have to do some real self-evaluation of where I belong

Where you belong is the sidelines. You've been benched, so have a seat.

The majority of the Republican party leadership abandoned
core American principles so long ago that anyone who
honestly looks can see this.

Some say that - "We HAVE TO support the Republicans
because they are SO much better than the evil leftist
Commie Democrats."
.

I ain't buying it, and haven' for quite some time.

Yes, there may be a few almost decent GOP candidates
here and there occasionally - but when they (rarely) win elections
they are co-opted and completely unable to effect any
overall change in the ever-leftward leanings of the GOP overall.
They get neutered - one way or another.

I refer you to George Washington -

“However [political parties] may now and then answer
popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things,
to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious,
and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the
power of the people and to usurp for themselves the
reins of government, destroying afterwards the very
engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.”

― George Washington

So GOP-supporting fellow Freeper folks - argue with George, not me - Please.

The lesser of two evils is STILL EVIL.

Heretofore I will ONLY vote for Independents.

No hope for this state..

If you think it's bad now, wait until festerman and shapiro get elected.

I've been fighting with my wife because I want to move to Port St. Lucie, FL where we own several acres but she wants to stay here.

If the pubbies lose PA in November, I think I'll buy a trailer and move down alone {at least for the snow season}.

I'll have to watch out because she watches a load of murder mysteries:)

McCrory political prime is in the rear view mirror. Had he won, he would have a lackluster, boring, Mr Nice Guy campaign. Like he did in the primary .... Like Romney in 2012. Only 50 people show up at a pub. He knew he was going to lose.

McCrory had no problem in the past with having the votes of the people he now openly despises and blames for his loss. You know, “pull the party together” for the general was his mantra like all schooled politicians. Instead of going out like Mr Nice Guy that he thinks he is, his public statement shows he is not a Mr Nice Guy ... just a sore loser who dresses up his words so he comes across as the “gentleman across the aisle who has been unfairly harmed.” If his party changed, he needs to look inward at why it happened. Maybe his political nonfeasance and malfeasance was a significant contribution. Maybe his campaigning like an traditional American and governing like a demonikrap might have something to do with it. Grow up Pat.

Pat, you lost by 35 points. No one cares where you think you belong

Exactly!

What a self-centered ass.

I don’t know anything about him. All I know is that talking like a high school debater from the 1950s when you’re being routed by democrats diabolical thieving leftists is damn near comedy.

Pat - The root cause is the chronic overpromising and significant under delivery, abandonment of principles, and getting duped again and again by win at all cost opponents- Character traits of GOPe

“NC Republican voters haven’t forgotten how he screwed up when he was in office”

I have a vague memory of a controversy over transgenders’ use of public bathrooms, and McCrory taking an unpopular position. Other than that apparent screw-up, what other screw-ups were there?

Yep, like all GOPers, he despises his constituency and blames voters for not voting for him.

It’s really quite simple, Pat. Conservatives got tired of being bullied by liberals in politics and decided to fight back by electing people with a backbone.

Senator will have very little to do with the day to day of the state…

And the GOP control and have controlled the legislature most of the last 25+ years….

Since 1995 GoP have controlled both houses except for 4 years where the dem controlled the house… and have controlled the house, Senate and governorship 12 of the last 27 years.

The problem with PA isn’t democrats, it’s the GOP… of the last 27 years the gop has been on control of both houses of the legislature 23 of them and control of the Senate for all 27 of them. Republicans have had 12 years out of thr last 27 of complete governmental control and the Dems have has zero.

I’m not defending the Dems here, But blaming PA’s issues on them is disingenuous… the gOP of PA is a swamp

It seems like Republicans are no longer content winning elections and then subsequently losing every political battle while watching our country slide into global corporatist socialism.

Too bad, Pat.

And, to add insult to injury...the McCrorys woke up to a massive water leak in their Charlotte home. According to him on WBT radio this morning.
