We were swindled, fooled, bamboozled and lied to during the pandemic. The public-health establishment misled the American people about the value of masking, closures and social distancing. No one has accepted blame. Understanding how badly we failed is not only an inevitable part of the “told you so” process but, more important, a lesson for next time. Just ask the Swedes.
Sweden had zero excess deaths associated with COVID-19. The United States had the most excess deaths of all nations. New York had more than Florida. That’s the whole story right there in a handful of words.

Most will not learn. They still do not accept the fact that our political class hates us and works against us. That realization is too terrible for them to grasp. So they do not see.

The poor are fat because there is an unlimited amount of government cheese.
Next year they can do it again, and most folks will mask up as told, social distance, close their shops... Even turn in their neighbors.
Why?
They have “faith” in government.
They don’t believe in God. That’s silly, unscientific, not logical or even inclusive by today’s thinking. But they “believe” very strongly in acid rain, the coming ice age, global warming, climate change, ozone holes, Covid, gay genes, peak oil...
They have been fooled over and over. For decades! What makes you think they’ll be any smarter and learn anything on this one?
They will believe / trust lying politicians, power hungry buerocrats, and greedy corporations... but distrust a priest and think they are all pedophiles... Why?
Public education, the arts, news and social media. People today can be told that XX and XY isn’t scientific, but idiotic masks are.
“OUR” failures? It wasn’t me who decided to shut down my industry and customers nearly putting me out of business.
Most of us have learned. A lot.
The problem is, the government has also learned and that is that they can control far too many people through fear tactics.
My 2 sisters are true believers in fauci.
