Stabenow: Formula Shortage Partially Due to Economy Shutting Down over COVID, Which ‘It Needed to’

On Tuesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Jose Diaz-Balart Reports,” Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) stated that one reason for the shortage of baby formula is “all the supply chain issues that are happening because we have an economy that basically shut down in the United States and around the world because of COVID. It needed to.” She also stated that the FDA’s delay in issuing a recall on contaminated formula and consolidation in the production of formula are other factors.

I am going to take a guess and say that some of the ingredients come from China. China has been using their “zero covid” policy as an excuse to continue their low-grade economic war against the west. They know we are dependent on them, and they want the tariffs lifted among other concessions. So they play games with the supply.

Formula shortages may be occurring because:

• We are too dependent on ingredients from China.
• The US government may be buying liquid formula to support the massive amounts of immigrants they are letting in.
• The US government may be buying liquid formula to send to Europe to support Ukrainian refugees.
• There were recalls on 3 brands of powdered formula due to possible contamination with Salmonella.
• The FDA shut down an Abbott formula plant and issued a world wide recall due to Cronobacter sakazakii bacteria contaimination.
• There may be labor shortages affecting the Formula plants.
• Consumers are hoarding because of inflation.
• Consumers are hoarding because of possible future lockdowns.
• Consumers are hoarding because of expected food shortages.
