PPI is higher than CPI. PPI is upstream from CPI. That means consumer prices will still rise. This article is wishful thinking and cheerleading.

Prices will drop, not thru efficiencies, but because people cant afford stuff. Sounds like a plan.

So, the government is going to stop spending trillions of dollars that nobody has?

If indeed some prices begin to decline, it will be because the economy is slowing, less productive and hence less demand for some items. However products that are having difficulty being made due to the government’s inhibitory regulatory activities such as fuel, electricity and food will continue to rise. Also it will soon be much more expensive to buy a durable vehicle with an internal combustion engine.

Wishful thinking, but ain’t gonna happen.

Inflation will continue to ran rampant for months.

The Biden/Dem media are trying to find/make up something, anything they can report as ‘good news’ going into the election cycle.

One of the few things FED could do to stem the tide is to increase interest rates. Their pathetic quarter-to-half point increases are not enough to slow-down government spending.

The doomsters continuing to claim massive food shortages coming soon are not giving any credence to a likely reduction in inflation.

Food Supply Protectionism is Rapidly Spreading as Global Organizations Like The IMF Warn of Consequences

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is continuing to send warnings with increased urgency about the very real possibility of widespread food shortages in regions where food instability is a historic issue.

“The war in Ukraine has triggered a sharp increase in energy and food prices that could undermine food security in the region, raise poverty rates, worsen income inequality, and possibly lead to social unrest,” the Fund said in its annual Regional Outlook for Africa.”

WASHINGTON — Ukraine has limited exports of sunflower oil, wheat, oats and cattle in an attempt to protect its war-torn economy. Russia has banned sales of fertilizer, sugar and grains to other nations.

Indonesia, which produces more than half the world’s palm oil, has halted outgoing shipments. Turkey has stopped exports of butter, beef, lamb, goats, maize and vegetable oils.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has unleashed a new wave of protectionism as governments, desperate to secure food and other commodities for their citizens amid shortages and rising prices, erect new barriers to stop exports at their borders.

[…] Export restrictions are making grains, oils, meat and fertilizer — already at record prices — more expensive and even harder to come by. That is placing an even greater burden on the world’s poor, who are paying an ever-larger share of their income for food, increasing the risk of social unrest in poorer countries struggling with food insecurity.

Since the beginning of the year, countries have imposed a total of 47 export curbs on food and fertilizers — with 43 of those put in place since the invasion of Ukraine in late February, according to tracking by Simon Evenett, a professor of international trade and economic development at the University of St. Gallen.

There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission. If we wish to make it louder, we will bring up the volume. If we wish to make it softer, we will tune it to a whisper. We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical. We can roll the image, make it flutter. We can change the focus to a soft blur or sharpen it to crystal clarity. For the next hour sit quietly and we will control all that you see and hear....

During the Trump Administration, the Democrats were hoping for the economy to crash, in order that it would hurt Trump.

Let's not put ourselves in the same category of these scumbags.

I wish for the economy to make a speedy recovery, as well as MAGA-GOP taking control of Congress later this year and for Trump to win his third term in 2024.

Still trying to sell the “transitory” lie.

Producer Prices rose faster than Consumer Prices. That means price increases are still coming for consumers.
