Dr. Anthony Fauci walked back his comment that the US was no longer in the “pandemic phase” of COVID-19 — the latest jumbled messaging from President Biden’s chief medical adviser on the coronavirus.
Biden administration officials and Fauci were scrambling Wednesday to emphasize that the country is still in the midst of a pandemic and that emergency measures are still needed after Fauci told PBS the precise opposite.
“Here we are. It’s the end of April. It’s the spring of 2022. How close are we to the end of the pandemic?” Judy Woodruff of “PBS NewsHour” asked Fauci Tuesday.

I didn’t have the reservations about the vaccine that many here seem to have. I got my two shots, wore the mask, etc. I generally don’t go anywhere that’s too ‘peopley’ anyway, so that was no problem, either.
But I am sick and tired of this little martinet. It’s time for him to retire and for new blood to take his place.

The only place that was truly a pandemic was in New York City during spring of 2020. After that, we saw several surges so it became more of an epidemic. Now we are transitioning into endemic phase. It’ll always be around and annoying but we will deal with it.
Yesterday I read on FR that he said we were out of the pandemic phase. A Freeper in the comments stated the next day he will say the opposite. Damn - the Freeper was 100 percent correct.
It was always about power and control. Trump handed it to them on a silver platter and they will never give it back. Biblically drunk with power.

BA2 is very contagious and people who are triple and quadruple vaccinated have been getting it. Not only catching it, but with full blown symptoms. Most people won’t get ill, but those who do get the “full ride”. May be why they gave Kameltoeho the Paxlovid (may cause hepatitis or full blown covid when you stop) pill.
