The Avenger air defense system uses Stinger missiles. It too is old but still in use. Or was?

It’s the same with FGM-148 Javelins. By the 90s it was clear that these weapons are meant to be given out to allied infantries because America itself will fight with air supremacy and the American infantry will carry something better.
