“but I LOVE Haagen Dazs ice cream!”
indeed ... pretty much the ONLY commercial ice cream that utilizes sufficient butterfat such that artificial thickeners are not needed and otherwise avoids artificial ingredients, unlike B&J’s and B&R which are loaded with both ...

Put the piece of wax paper on the scale and practice rolling perfect 2 1/2 ounce scoops. I taught a lot of people that way.

They went downhill when they sold themselves to a UK liquor company ( Hiram-Walker , (or something), then merging with Dunkin Dounuts. Terrible moves. They should have gone the boutique route, like Cold Stone or Hagen Daaz.

It’s time for the marketing industry to recognize that people don’t identify with (and don’t buy) product commercials depicting people who don’t look like themselves. I disagree.
I, personally, have no problem purchasing products marketed by people who don't look like me - as long as there's no reason to suspect that the given ad isn't intentionally trying to distort reality (e.g., by having disproportionately more "minorities" hawking the products than is reflected in real life).
I don't cotton to being "re-educated," shamed, or gaslighted.

Try Tillamook Marionberry pie flavor. You can get it on sale in summer months at big chain supermarkets. I don’t know the company’s politics and don’t want to. It is incredibly tasty.

I think Publix makes the BEST ice cream- but good for Baskin Robbins! I like politically inactive ice cream.

It's time for the marketing industry to recognize that people don't identify with (and don't buy) product commercials depicting people who don't look like themselves. Of course they do. In fact some of the most successful commercials contain no people at all.
What they do not do is buy products from commercials that jeer or sneer at them.

What percentage of their ad models will be black? 85%? That will tell me if they’re truly staying above the fray.

I read a few reports that show that blacks don’t want to buy stuff being advertised by white people, but white people don’t care. More racism and hating on “Whitey”.

When I lived near Buffalo a bazillion years ago the family loved Sealtest ice cream. I don’t know if it is/was a local brand in that area, or even if it still exists.
