Russian investigators will question British mercenary Sean Peter caught in Mariupol, the Russian Investigative Committee told reporters on Saturday.
"The investigation will definitely question another mercenary caught in Mariupol," the committee said.
Sean Peter is the second Briton captured in Mariupol. He served in the 36th Marine Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces as an assault rifleman and is now in captivity. He now says he wants to go home and advises not to come to Ukraine fight.

They claimed they killed a Polish mercenary group of up to 30 people also, but that was outside izyum, and i don’t see how it could be confirmed
he has full geneva rights if he was admitted into regular ukraine unit (which he was) and wear uniform (which he was)
they also claimed they killed an American mercenary but the only proof i saw was his passport

I think he can be deemed a spy in a uniform to which he has no allegiance.
He’ll be lucky to not be executed.
I think they’ll let him live because they don’t want to give any NATO country an excuse for entering the war.
You’re right I don’t know the real story. Only what he claims. I was sloppy to assume it’s true or isn’t debatable.
I’ll buy his plane ticket.
Either way, I don’t understand his decision to enter a war that doesn’t involve his country. His surname is certainly not Ukrainian. Hopefully they’ll let him go home, and hopefully this entire war will end soon as well.
As for sloppy, it’s so hard to tell what’s true and not true.
So I wouldn’t say it’s sloppy, one just has to make what they believe is the informed decision.

I believe you are correct. But the Russians may give him a choice. Make a propaganda piece urging others to not go to Ukraine to fight for Ukraine. If he makes the piece he may get a 10 year term in the gulag and then be expelled to Britain. Or take nine grams immediately

Thank you for admitting you don’t know what’s true and what isn’t. You’re one of the few exceptions around here and it’s quite refreshing. We have way too many posters who even claim to know exactly what Putin is thinking. 🤣
