Charitable discussions with Chinese energy giant CEFC that evolved into lucrative business deals fit classic foreign influence operation, ex-FBI intel chief says.
With his father's eight-year tenure as Barack Obama's vice president waning, Hunter Biden received a remarkable overture in 2015: One of China's richest businessmen wanted to make a sizable donation to the World Food Program USA (WFP USA), which was led by the VP's son.
WFP USA is a U.S.-based nonprofit dedicated to raising funds and building U.S. support for the World Food Program, the United Nations organization that fights global hunger.
But soon, memos gathered by the FBI show, the charitable discussions evolved into an expanding relationship between Hunter Biden and Chinese energy giant CEFC to include business deals that would eventually reap the Biden family millions of dollars.
"CEFC China is very interested in exploring humanitarian initiatives of mutual interest to the World Food Program USA and discussing investment opportunities with Burnham," an email received and then forwarded by Hunter Biden in October 2015 stated. Burnham was one of the many firms through which Hunter Biden and his partners like Devon Archer scored large investments.

CBS reported today that the Hunter Biden investigation has been going on for FOUR YEARS.
Generally, when you see that, they don’t want to indict. They’re not interested.
Look what they did with Stone, Mannafort, Papadopolous, and Flynn.
Of course, the DoJ also escalated those cases and executed raids, and did additional stings (Papadopolous and Flynn).
The four year plus is just not a good indicator. At a minimum that shows a lack of enthusiasm in the Prosecution. Prosecutors know that interest attenuates, memories fade, people die, and media narratives get implanted as time goes by.
The real question is why the puppet masters are allowing this to come out now?

If you have been following the saga of Hunter’s Laptop from Hell, you will know that we are now in Phase Two of the coverup. In Phase One you were told that the laptop was the creation of the Russians designed to sabotage Joe Biden’s campaign for President. That lie has now collapsed, so in Phase Two we are being told that whatever Hunter was up to, it has nothing to do with Joe. Hunter may have spent his time up to his eyeballs in hookers and blow and kept company with a lot of unsavory characters, but Joe knew nothing about any of it.
“I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings,” Biden insisted in 2019. Essentially saying “There is no family enterprise.”
It is funny then that the contents of Hunter’s laptop do not jive at all with that characterization. On the contrary, the laptop is filled with documents and emails which make perfectly clear that Hunter and Joe worked closely together, commingled funds, and operated largely as a team. As noted in the tweet above, a close Hunter Biden business associate Tony Bobulinski has gone on record stating “I have heard Joe Biden say that he’s never discussed business with Hunter. That is false.”
A case in point would be the intelligence briefings shared with Hunter by the Office of the Vice President. Over a period of what appears to be years, a daily intelligence briefing prepared for Joe Biden was forwarded to Hunter and several other members of the Biden family.
