Trump's victory in 2016 exposed the rot and the corruption in our government and in our institutions; if this be considered a "cost" to our country, then so be it. I consider it an exposé that most, if not all of it, had become nothing more than a pack of lies.
The soft coup that took place in November of 2020 simply confirmed it; we're a banana republic.
I think it was physically hard on him and there was always dissension during his years in the WH. Trump did not have a very happy 4 years as POTUS with Antifa, BLM and Covid and the demonic MSM coming at him at once. I hope for him and the country that he will have happier and more effective years starting in 2024. He needs it and the country needs it.
