A Moisin-Nagant makes a perfectly serviceable sniper rifle (with a scope), and even with iron sights isn’t horrible for something to give 2nd line / support personnel. It has probably killed over a million over time, maybe millions. Not everyone needs an AK-74.

Those rifles have scopes. The old mosin nagants (or most any of the military bolt action rifles) are pretty accurate at long ranges.

That 91/30 is scoped for a designated marksman. Soviet doctrine changed in Afghanistan when troops armed with AK-47s were being picked off by guys with Enfields and Mosin-Nagants.
7.62x39 does not reach as far as 7.62x54 or or a .303.
