Colorado county clerks demand election deniers produce evidence of fraud or back down
By: Kristian Lopez
Apr 03, 2022 DENVER — Colorado county clerks gathered Sunday morning ahead of planned rallies at the state Capitol by a group of election deniers.
They're asking these election conspiracy groups to either provide compelling evidence of election fraud or stop making these claims.
During the meeting, a bipartisan group of county clerk officials said they've endured two years of false claims, which have caused an "unprecedented assault on election processes."
They're calling for the individuals behind these allegations to provide evidence to law enforcement, either through county district attorneys or through direct outreach to the Colorado attorney general.
Among the speakers at Sunday's meeting were Weld County Clerk and Recorder Carly Koppes and Denver County Clerk and Recorder Paul López.
"We are putting this demand that they are acting in good faith, that they do come and bring us not just the reports, but everything--all the data, all of the affidavits that they have. Anything and everything, bring it to us," said Koppes.
They say these claims have subjected them to increased hostility and even threats.
For example, Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold is asking the state for $120,000 to hire private security.
Griswold is in the midst of a legal battle against Mesa County Clerk and Recorder Tina Peters, who is claiming election fraud — despite her not producing any evidence — and was indicted last month on several felony counts including tampering with election equipment.
"There's been some of us that have had to enhance our security in our elections offices, add glass, add more security protocols. Some of us have had to work with our local PD or our sheriff's departments, and even with the FBI, because of just the level of intensity that we have faced," said Koppes.
Some county clerks say they’ve also had to spend thousands of hours answering questions about these claims from the public. Still, they're dedicated to making sure the public has the correct information.
"We're going to defend our state, we're going to defend our democracy, and everything that we've ever fought for it. And something like this isn't going to erode it. Our elections are safe. They're transparent. They're secure," said López.
Moving forward, county officials say they plan to implement even more election security measures like increasing signature verification audits, voter list audits, and making sure elections are properly funded.
At which time they will deny that the claims are valid. We’ve played this game before.
>despite her not producing any evidence
I seem to have read that Mesa county not only erased multiple logs and constructed multiple ballot tallies to hide actual tallies, but had called Dominion when the numbers failed to match and “voila!” someone offsite used wifi to mess with the tabulators and boom, no more problems.
She’s going to show them the evidence and they’re just going to act like they don’t understand it.
Only a “denier” would dare look for evidence. If someone tries, they withhold or destroy any evidence.
Colorado is remarkable and memorable for producing a Professor ? named, I think Churchill.
He was a NUT and represented the Academic culture that existed in Colorado, in my mind. I may be wrong, but Colorado was one of the first States to go “rogue and wrong.”
If you want to get people to trust you, make the election results verifiable and auditable on demand. Otherwise, *you* are the “election denier” and the “threat to democracy”, not them.
Will they allow private citizens to inspect voter rolls, ballots cast or voting machines? Absent that, the demand for evidence seems pretty empty.
How arrogant these elected officials are. It used to be that officials were not supposed to have any appearance of any impropriety. Why is it that one county had over 100% vote and no one even questioned it?
If Ms. Griswold purchased a single-use cell phone that had the police department number on speed dial, it would cost a lot less than $120,000.
Freedom of speech only works in one direction. /s
These ‘Election deniers’ need to demand that the clerks prove that each and every vote was counted only once and that each and every vote was the single, legal vote cast by a living USA citizen.
If the clerks cannot or fail to produce that info, then fraud is certainly on the table.
Tina Peters has links to PDF files that report the results of an election audit in Mesa Colorado. Why don’t these clerks read the report for themselves?

it sounds like Griswold needs to take a European vacation.
TPTB, fraud deniers, are immersed in evidence of election fraud, yet they continue to deny.
Correct. The burden of proof is on those who certify the integrity of the election, not on those who question it.
That’s how the system is designed, and that’s how it should be.
Only after a independent forensic audit will I ever back down. Citizens outside of the asylum view the election as fraudulent and should have been declared invalid.
With her husband Mohamed.
There is actually a simple way to prove that the voting in Colorado wasn’t crooked. You could get non-profits like true to the vote, or PLIF, judicial watch, to run voter roles to see if the dead voted or people voted in more than one state. You could request a non-partisan review of the voting records and machines used in 2020. Further, you could review eye witness accounts of voting machines flipping votes or preventing voting for certain individuals and do extensive open reports.
The problem really is that Colorado has multiple counties with more votes than living people. Multiple complaints about machine problems and vote flipping over multiple elections. Further, non-partisan groups have told Colorado that the voter roles are filled with non-eligible voters and they have blocked cleaning them. Finally, Colorado has gone the way of ballot harvesting, knowing full well what that means for election integrity. Ballots are easily trafficked as Colorado does nothing to monitor drop boxes or people stuffing the boxes.
Last, if people complain about illegal elections they are quickly labeled, shunned, gaslighted, minimized, and investigated thoroughly. We were told that there wasn’t voter fraud, then it was small and didn’t matter, now we find that it’s at least 7% of all votes in major battleground states. These are NOT the tactics of a clean open system, it’s the tactics of tyrannical government or organized crime (both).
The half of America that believes that vote fraud isn’t a big deal or those that have gotten what they want by the government taking from others to give to them. They don’t understand why people came to America in the first place, why it will lead to terrible things, and that they are only fodder for those organizing it. Voter fraud is treason to a Republic, and should be treated as such. Patriotism is demanding that voting matters, and that the peoples voices are heard.
