I never paid attention to events in Ukraine until this war erupted. Digging into its history since their 1991 independence it’s odd that they had two “revolutions” afterwards, both of which look suspiciously like coups. The 2004 Orange Revolution and the 2014 Maidan revolution.

Soros, NGOs, and various American politicians like John McCain seem to have been more than idle observers of these “revolutions”. If any country was ever subjected to outside meddling in its elections Ukraine has to be near the top of the list.

McCain and Soros seem to have taken particular interest in Ukraine in 2013. After the 2014 Maidan revolution that booted out President Yanukovych, the incoming President, Poroshenko, quickly requests membership in NATO. I suspect that this isn’t a coincidence. Poroshenko is also the President who let VP Biden bully him into firing the prosecutor who was investigating Hunter Biden.

It looks to me like Poroshenko, and now Zelenskyy, have Western sponsors with great influence over their decisions. And those decisions likely haven’t been the best ones for the people of Ukraine.

I guess at the end of the day we have to choose sides. There is no doubt that the US has wanted to put constant pressure on Russia. We seem to have a certain amount of paranoia about that country. Can we say that the Russian invasion is justified? I think it depends on your perspective. Seeing all these people killed or displaced gives me pause. I hope we learn something from this. And hope it ends soon.
