Floridians provided mixed responses to the newly signed state legislation that opponents dubbed "Don’t Say Gay."
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the Parental Rights in Education bill into law Monday, which prohibits classroom discussion or instruction about sexual oriention and gender identity. The Walt Disney Co. issued a statement opposing the legislation.
"We’ve been going to Disney for a long time, and we are tired of the extreme changes that they seem to think are pleasing everyone," Marsha from Winter Garden, Florida, told Fox News. "When our annual passes expired in February, we did not renew them because of our displeasure with the way Disney has gone overall, not just on the particular issue, but on all their wokeness."
"Walt would be rolling over in his grave," Marsha added.
Critics have said the legislation will hurt LGBTQ children.
"DeSantis, to me, sounds like a bully, and bullies have to be stood up to," Len, a Florida homeowner, told Fox News.

PING.
No self-respecting adult should be spending a dime on ANY Disney vacation or products
Boycott Disney. I am appalled that they would think of putting sexually alternative characters into their “stories.” Little children aren’t supposed to be burdened with thoughts of sex.
The left is a bully.
We went this year bc our graduating daughters wanted to as a gift. I’ll nvr go again unless they change.
In terms of the religious-like faith of its believers and demand for absolute control - neo-marxism is just like the old-style marxism.
Florida park goer says
Then why go?
Amended sentence: “...that opponents dubbed ‘Don’t Say Gay.’” Should read: “...that opponents dubbed ‘Don’t Say Gay,’ and that supporters dubbed, ‘Stop Grooming Our Kids.’”
Don’t Say Disney!!
"Walt would be rolling over in his grave," Marsha added.
I hope she is not alone in this sentiment.
Used to live in SoCal and whenever we had visitors we always took them to Disneyland and everyone invariably loved it. My late F-I-L loved 'It's A Small World'! This was in the 80s and 90s. We moved in the late 90s and I have never been back since. And now I never will.
B.S.
Who the heck cries about bullies, as an adult, anyway? The only time I paid any mind to bullies was when I was forced to go to school every day with them and had no choice in the matter. After that was over, I just choose to not associate with them, and they have virtually no affect on my life. So who cares?
We need to let everyone with children know about how low Disney has gone.
Most parents are not aware of their anti-family views. If they listen to the MSM they never hear of the repulsive behavior of the leadership at Disney.
if they are cutoff at the wallet, they may return to the wholesome nature they were years ago.
I took 5 kids (of mine) to Disney World 3/5/22-3/11/22, it was a great time.
A couple of on-topic observations:
25+% of male cast members are more-or-less openly gay. My ability to identify female’s orientation, at least ones who can pass the Disney screening process, is poor.
You CAN buy rainbow mouse ears if you want them
You have to look really, really hard to find a shred of advocacy or propaganda. In fact, if during normal activities at the Magic Kingdom or Epcot, you think you are seeing gay advocacy, ESPECIALLY something a child would notice - well, you know what they say about your interest in gay stuff...
The main problem with DW from a father’s POV is how much they excel at resource extraction - from you. THAT, I find a bit offputting.
But, as they say, in for a penny, in for a pound. It was a great family vacation, I recommend it and would do it again - just make sure you know when Gay Days are and don’t go then.
Dump Disney. There are other theme parks. Why give support to their wokeness?
I hope Walt is putting a really good haunt on these people.
I’ve taken my kids to Disneyland once a year for the past quarter century, starting when my first turned 3 and until each one is in their senior year of high school in turn. Wonderful memories. My last trip will be next year, when my last child will be a senior.
I plan to go next Feb, when Disneyland presents (all afternoon!) a great gospel performance featuring LA churches in California Adventure.
It will be the end of an era, and I’m sad to see the decline of Disney. They had a good run.
