Yes. But not just dangerous ignorance. It is also dangerous lack of discipline and dangerous arrogance.
I'm pretty confident that these children have been well coached on how to select their preferred pronouns. They have been warned effectively to only use the preferred pronouns when addressing other people and wouldn't dare to disobey these cultural expectations.
As for the statistic claiming guns as the leading cause of death for "children", I'm betting that the data indicates that intentional shootings by 16 and 17 year-olds of just a few cultural sub-groups dominate.
And finally, any suggestion that further gun control laws are justified if it saves just one child's life is absolute hogwash. The right of hundreds of millions of American to keep and bear arms effectively is worth more than the life of a single child. How much more would be a difficult calculation but the Second Amendment eliminates the necessity of making that determination.
