The 94th annual Academy Awards on ABC drew 13.73 million viewers on Sunday, according to fast national Nielsen ratings

As compared to 10 years ago when “27 February 2012 - ABC's awards coverage delivered 39.3 million viewers,”

This year's Oscar's only made ONE THIRD of Oscar ratings 10 years ago.
And we have a much bigger population now.
It's a great big massive fail for the Oscars.

But next year more will tune in just to see how wheels off it is.

Those are stunning numbers, in comparison. I watched bits of the show, and every time I tuned in, it was about black suffering or GLBTQ issues. I suppose they don’t even need viewers to help boost the nominated movies. They just need “buzz.”
