However, there are huge anti-jewish actions by Russia that stretch from Imperial Russia to the Soviet Union that the people of Ukraine were brain washed by. So, I would say that the attempts to “Nazify” parts of Ukraine to the media were trying to tap into a Moscow view created in Moscow that is basically antisemitic.

Some of the Pale was within the old Austro-Hungarian Empire of Emperor Franz Joseph.
