Marie Yovanovitch told Insider in an interview that Russian President Vladimir Putin didn't need to launch a full-scale invasion of Ukraine when Donald Trump was president because Trump was giving Putin everything he wanted.

With Trump, Yovanovitch said, Putin "could just sit back and let the good times roll."

Yovanovitch, Trump's former ambassador to Ukraine, said the former president showed "strong, clear admiration" for Putin and other strongmen, disparaged US allies, and had longstanding "negative" views on NATO and other global alliances.

She represents the corrupt State Department that helped make Ukraine a Soros/DNC playground.

It was thanks to Trump’s antitank weapons that Ukraine survived the invasion at all.

She was just p***** because Trump fired her a**. IIRC, she lied about something...or made it up...IIRC, her loyalty was in the wrong place. I’ll find it.

Even if that was true, did we need to worry about WWIII starting because of what Trump was allegedly doing for Putin?

It makes a limited amount of sense if you accept that Putin was triggered by the prospect of Ukraine joining NATO and Trump downplaying that aspiration (which seems like wisdom in the current context). As for Putin having “everything he wanted with Trump,” that seems like an overstatement. After a visit to China in 2018, when Chairman Xi had increased his range of powers, Putin started planning the same outcome for himself and then demoted Prime Minister Medvedev to second in command of his Security Council, eliminating the post and consolidating all power in his own hands. Trump had nothing to do with that. Also Trump probably played little if any role in Russian business success or failure. He was opposed to at least one big project of Putin’s. So I only accept this analysis in the limited sense of NATO membership. Trump would have no influence on EU membership for Ukraine.

They never provide specifics. What, exactly, did Trump GIVE Putin, other than sanctions (which Biden waived)?

Let’s say this is true : so what ?
Isn’t it preferable than Ukrainians getting killed ? Putting sanctions against Russia ? What’s the alternative?
