Instead of asking people are they happy, they instead come up with mostly woke criteria like Access to Abortion, Smoking Bans, hate crime laws, etc. and say More woke = More Happy
Just look at Finland, the supposed happiest country in the world has the highest suicide rate in Europe.
The top 3 probably also don’t have DeQuarious Jenkins or Shaniqua Jackson...

Well, then the world is a pretty unhappy one over-all, I would say. I think it is quite evident that very few people in this country are all that happy, as a whole.

Given what their govt has done to their people during COVID, I find that hard to believe. OTOH, maybe the Australian spirit we used to know is dead and majority of the country love being bossed around and arbitrarily dictated to.

About 3 decades ago, I had taken an early retirement, did consulting and could live anywhere with an airport covering the west coast and the mountain time zone.
My wife was a good head office RN and a critical care RN, and she basically could find a good job anywhere, then.
So, we checked out the online ratings/recommendations for cities with 25k to 50k population within an hour or so to a regional airport.
Even then, the liberal cities all popped up and were rated as wonderful places, due to at least one Starbucks, a local liberal college, an artsy community, a book store and library staffed with liberal volunteers, and a nearby ski area. Then, those cities had liberal mayors and city councils. In past presidential elections, their county/city had voted for democrats.
One of our sons for a little over a year, had lived in the Sun River, Oregon area. He is very conservative and advised us not to consider it due to the rich snow bird elites living there. I spent 5 days with him and on a followup trip with another son. I agreed with. He left there and returned to the bay area and lives in a conservative area. We have had several church people retire and move to the Bend Area and SW. They blend in with the other liberals that area.
Another son had a good friend open up a high end restaurant in an elite lodge in Sisters. His friend hired my son, and he lasted a week there before moving back here. His friend lasted about 2 years. Even then the elite ski people and the artsy elite liberals ran/controlled that area often without even being citizens with their wealth and power. Think of Ms Chaney where she supposedly lives as a republican congressit.
Finally, a brother of a good friend, closed up his bike building shop in Coastal California and moved to the Taos area. Our friend suggested that I check with his bro then living in Taos. I ran a couple of focus groups there, and again the overt liberalism and covert elite liberalism controlled that area.
That same elite liberal reality was and still is in our elite Lake Tahoe ski area.
The supposed happy communities in America are often controlled in the open or covertly by elite liberals.
You nailed what is considered to be happy communities in America.
No African, Central and South American or Asian countries need apply.
