A military drone that apparently flew all the way from the Ukrainian war zone over three European NATO-member states before crashing in an urban zone of the Croatian capital was armed with an explosive device, Croatia’s defense minister said Sunday.
The Soviet-made aircraft crossed Romania and Hungary before entering Croatia, slamming into a field near a student dormitory late Thursday. About 40 parked cars were damaged in the large explosion, but no one was injured.
“Traces of explosives and clues suggesting that this was not a reconnaissance aircraft were found. We found parts of an air bomb,” Croatian Defense Minister Mario Banozic said at the crash site.

He said that this further raises a question about whether the drone belonged to Russia or Ukraine.
“There are elements that indicated it could have come from both,” he said.
Wow none of those NATO states are on the ball.
Tu-141 was last used by USSR in the Afghan war. Ukraine had some leftover frames it used in Donbas in 2014. Definitely not Russian.
Breaking: NATO has scheduled a meeting for tomorrow to discuss if they should shoot it down.

It did not contain a bomb. According to an article innCroatian media, a retired Croatian air force pilot explained thatthis drone had a self-destruction mechanism, similar to the one used on MIG-21 plane, that would destroy sensitive data on board the aircraft. It is a small explosives charge, not the actual bomb.

Small charge that exploded and damaged 40 cars. I guess it could be. That leaves a question that could you take a drone with that charge and land it on a roof of a house and blow itself up, would it destroy the house..
...because Ukrainians always fly drones westward.

Very likely it came from one or the other,

I have seen the photos, crater was very small, the drone missed the student residence hall by 150 ft and landed at the edge of a parking lot.
I am not sure how to post a photo here. Instead here is a link to an article that shows what was left of the drone. You can judge whether 300 lbs of explosives would leave more damage to the drone.
I think that all damage was caused by kinetic energy of a fast flying drone hitting the ground and pieces flying around damaging cars on the parking lot.

What kind of bomb?
Would You compare the overall damage to the fedz building supposedly having most of the front blown off by a truck bomb parked on the curb yet the buildings across the street were basically intact, to the blast radius of the drone.
I would think that 300 lbs would pretty much shred a Drone and I see a big piece that looks like one of our Predators.
