No, he was never really trying to play. He just needs to stay relevant. Many have forgotten him. Kneeing and national anthems are done already. So every year or so, he complains that he is not playing. Like Paul Paulsen running for president every year, I am sure that Colin will get in front of a TV camera and complain that he is not playing.

Guess he's not accepting that he was just another attack vector against Trump and was summarily discarded after serving his purpose. He'll probably end up sitting in a rest home, "I coulda been a contender!".
