We’ve forgotten this is what war typically looks like, not a FLIR video game perspective of drones whacking Talibs. Russia’s military doctrine appears to be more or less the same as it was 75 years ago.

the ”blame America first” crowd needs to stop pretending that Russia didn’t start this war.

Russia invaded Ukraine. That is an undeniable fact. Therefore, they "started" the war, an indisputable fact.

So, you have the moral high ground. Now what are you going to do.?

Telling the Russians they can no longer run up credit is great. American should have stopped doing THAT $30 T ago.

I also hope this will happen and would probably be the best solution. I just think it is more and more unlikely with each passing hour.

The Ukrainians are hardening thinking they are winning, and Putin is hardening wondering why they just don’t roll over and show their belly.

Can we get there—or should I say they get there—from here, today?

Nope. The “War with Russia” slogan has become the new “Wear a Mask and Social Distance.”

See, the democrats may lose an election. That cannot be risked. Just as in order to be rid of Trump nuking the economy and our freedom was necessary during Covid, nuking the world is necessary rather than letting the democrats lose an election.

If they can’t be in charge of the world, then it’s not a world worth having.

So they need Ukraine to be able to pretend that gas prices are high because of it, never mind ending domestic production made prices high way before Ukraine was invaded. They need Ukraine to push that they are defending sacred democracy so that they can equate it with January 6th. They need Ukraine to postpone elections.

And if this destroys the world? So be it. Just as long as you obeyed and we’re silenced before you are incinerated.

And you know what? Countless Karen’s are now preaching war war war and hitting Facebook to get validation for being super moral for preaching war with Russia. The same effing people that screamed murder over the Iraq War not so long ago.

On second thought, given the absolute unreal world we live in these days, where laws of nature are ignored and you are required for ignore your own eyes, maybe this is our Sodom and Gomorrah moment except that God has decided not to spare the innocent this time.

Have you noticed a complete media blackout of what the Russian cease fire and peace proposals are? They are afraid any legitimacy in the Russian position would compromise their changing disinformation narrative. If Ukraine categorically renounces any plan to join NATO I think Putin would jump at the deal and leave Ukraine shortly.

Well, first off, Belarus can have a route to the North Sea THROUGH RUSSIA! Any talk about steamrolling Lithuania or Latvia is the same as annexing all of Europe since Lithuania and Latvia are NATO members now.

Second, it’s about time Belarus stop pretending it’s an independent country. It is in fact an inferior vassal state of Russia proper.

Having said that, people should not be attacking Russian embassy personal just because they don’t like Putin. Russia has a legit grievance in this case.

Stupid move by some punk, probably. Still, the low-level embassy bureaucrat was apparently not hurt that much — if at all — and refused any medical treatment.

But Putin is rash enough to create an international incident over it.

Isn’t this interesting...Putin laying the ground work for invasion of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania (Baltic nations). Lordy, the poor Russian Ambassadors were threatened.

ShitShow Joe sets on the side lines, remembering his pathetic days of high school football films while the world teeters.

VP “Phuck her way to the top” is “heading” back to Europe to attempt what? Unserious people, making unserious moves while playing with our lives, hard pass!

Dose the world have 30 - 40 years to spare sitting on their hands while Putin and the Wuhan Death Death maniac, XI take over the globe?

Climate change? Paleeze!

NATO is already one or two day’s drive from Moscow from Latvia and far close to St Petersberg. Putin wants Ukraine period. That was the gist of his pre war speech. If he gets it the immediate result will be to place four more NATO countries on Russia’s borders. That will bring the number to nine counting Turkey and Norway.

If you expel them, they can’t be attacked on your territory.

Well, Vlad, as long as you put it that way, we’re sending your ambassadors back to Russia. Give us a call when you withdraw from Ukraine. TTFN.

Expelling them actually makes sense.

“We can’t protect you because your country is invading a peaceful neighbor and the whole world is against you right now.”

Psychosis is right. It’s pretty bad when Russia becomes the voice of reason and restraint. Perhaps they realize many Westerners are Bat-S crazy.

The Ukrainians are hardening thinking they are winning,

The Brandon Media newspuppets of the TechnoDicktaters are doing a good job of convincing the outgunned Ukrainians to "Let's you and Putin fight!".

Note that the newspuppets and their puppetmasters the TechnoDicktaters are at no particular risk in this.

That Baltic invasion route is not going to work. You need the terrain you find on the Kiev, Kursk, Moscow route of attack. That is why the Battle of Kursk involved such massive amounts of armor, they could easily maneuver over the terrain. Although you will end up seeing a larger number of tanks on the NATO Ukrainian/Russian frontier, the second battle of Kursk will never take place. The Russians will do what we would have been forced to do had they decided to massively roll through the Fulda Gap. After Reagan and Thatcher placed intermediate range nukes in West Germany we would have nuked them. Russia, hopelessly outgunned, would do the same to NATO forces rolling across the Russian border 300 miles from Moscow. The 350 new Polish M1 tanks could be on the Ukrainian/Russian frontier in less than a day. You do know they’d be redeployed by highballing trains.

Your analysis was interesting but I wasn’t clear in my post. My point was not to set up a NATO invasion route. It was to highlight Putin’s irrationality in basing the invasion on a fear of NATO on his borders. Reabsorb Ukraine and Putin will have doubled the NATO nations on his borders. While I believe Putin is insane I don’t believe he is irrational. He believes IMO he can recreate the Soviet Empire and that fear of his nukes will prevent NATO from responding to an Art V. His problem is that his conventional military, particularly his ground forces are too few to achieve his goal. Then he may opt for nukes.
