This is figurative, right? These are not heat seeking hence, no way a foot soldier could hit a moving target at that distance.
Javelin missile cost = $175,000 +/-
Russian tank T-90 cost = $4.5 mil +/-
Gets spendy fast.
I would not want to be in a vehicle on the receiving end of a Javelin.
I would take a few 401 AMC Javelins, though.
That’s all well and good, but it looks like the Russians are already adapting their plan. They are pulling back their ground game and starting to destroy cities from the air. The anti-tank weapons will be great for stalling convoys and diminishing ground assaults, but the glaring need will be for SAMs now. Just my very non-expert observation
I hear the stinger missiles have been quite effective too for the Ukrainians.
It’s way more than that. The Ukrainians have been able to take full advantage of hiding positions behind buildings and large trees to take down armored vehicles.
So the REAL issue is Javelins AND the right Administration.
Plus perhaps some simple willingness.
If Russia had invaded Israel, they wouldn’t have gotten 5 miles inland.
They made him a russian lieutenant,
They gave him a tank of his own,
He met with a javelin missile,
And out of his tank he was blown
And how about the invasion on our border?
Javelin seems to be as advertised and thanks to President Trump, Ukraine is using them.
Now maybe it is time to send them a few A-10s. Maybe the EU declare Ukraine a No Fly Zone. EU Not NATO.
Ukraine is definitely armed better than it used to be.
But, it is not asymmetrical war.
Ukraine has like 300,000 soldiers, all employed, plus mobilized forces. All Ukrainian men 18-30 are supposed to serve.
Russia send like 200,000 invasion forces. (well they have 900,0000, but most are deployed elsewhere or sitting home)
Ukrainians are defending their homeland, Russians apparently do not care.
So far, I would say, Russians are actually outgunned.

This sounds like our own Revolutionary War. Ukrainians have the home ground and use guerilla tactics. Hopefully they also win.
I hope there are a lot of Javelins all lined up to take out that 40 mile long convoy. Would make a hell of an ambush.
