When Cecilie Fjellhoy, a 29-year-old Norwegian grad student living in London, swiped right on a 28-year-old supposed billionaire diamond heir on Tinder in 2018, she thought she’d found her Prince Charming. But the supposed dream man, who called himself Simon Leviev, turned out to be a nightmare, an international con man that duped her out of $250,000 and landed her in the psych ward.

Leviev’s profile showed a man who appeared to live a jet-setting life full of stylish suits and designer clothes, sipping cocktails on exotic beaches and attending high-powered business meetings. Fjellhoy had no reason to doubt that he was the “Prince of Diamonds” that he portrayed himself to be. She even Googled him, and found that there was indeed a billionaire Russian-Israeli diamond mogul, Lev Leviev a k a “The King of Diamonds,” who she took to be her suitor’s father. In reality, the two men weren’t related, and Lev doesn’t have a son named Simon.

Thanks to Fjellhoy’s tip, VG journalists including Natalie Remoe Hansen, Kristoffer Kumar and Erlend Ofte Arntsen were able to track down Hayut’s mother in Israel, who denied having contact with him in years. The Israeli police, meanwhile, confirmed that Hayut is an Israel-born fraudster who fled in 2011 to skip out on sentencing for fraud, theft and forgery. He served two years in a Finnish prison from 2015 to 2017 for defrauding several women, before he was sent back to Israel in 2017.

I am only referring to single, dating people. How many men can you imagine who would hand over $250K, much less take out a loan for it, to some woman he is dating? Most men are not that foolish, and they don’t tend to do anything and everything to hang on to some sketchy girlfriend. They just move on to a new girlfriend.
Go visit divorce court some time.
The way women do it is to either get married or just move in, then sue for support.
You see some very hot women working as pharmaceutical representatives.
Attractive women who go into certain jobs in sales, lobbying, etc, can meet lots of wealthy men every day, and get to spend lots of time talking to them.
Women are attracted to status and power.
Men are wired to be maximally attracted to healthy, physically fit women in their prime child-bearing years.
A working-class woman who is attractive and eagerly affectionate beats a sales exec who is neither.

It's true. Men know that, if they marry a career woman, that her income will not make HIS life any better. She will spend HER salary on stuff SHE wants, and still expect him to pay for the house and common expenses.
A lot of women want a guy just to have someone her friends will be impressed and envious about. It's a status thing.
I’ve always believed the key to having a long-term relationship that lasts is to have common friends, people who are emotionally vested in a couple staying together, that both partners enjoy being around.
If somebody ever says to you, “I love you, but I hate your friends!” - WARNING!
Sad to say, but there are entire States full of mostly honest, well-intentioned folks, who are just too trusting. Gonna be a whole bunch of broken hearts in Utah some day...

She was looking for a billionaire prince. No money, no honey. Am sure if she wanted love or a relationship that would last a lifetime, she’d have no problem dating.

The sales reps used to come into my office to tell me how great their products were and show me a little leg and cleavage.
At that time I had been married for 18 years to the best woman on planet Earth.
I would send them out to my leadworkers depending on which shop the product pertained to.
My leadworkers would come back to thank me for the EYE CANDY and deliver their purchase requests, I would tell them they were welcome, then proceed to BUTCHER their PURCHASE REQUESTS down to what I knew the shop needed to function at peak performance.
It was a lot of fun.
Scandinavia—pretty much. First area of Western Civ to legalize gay marriage, decades ago. Denmark, 1989; (Holland, 2000; Belgium, 2003); Norway and Sweden, 2009. Women run everything over there now. Why would the men even be interested?

Fraudsters deserve the death penalty > IMO.
