Following the justified and substantial blowback received by The Washington Post for its casual racism disguised as straight news, WaPo added a mere "clarification" to its story:
A previous version of this story imprecisely referred to Justice Clarence Thomas's opinions as often reflecting the thinking of White conservatives, rather than conservatives broadly. That reference has been removed. Uh, no. That doesn't make anything right. Casual racism is not something WaPo needed to clarify — it was plainly clear to everyone that they were engaging in biased partisan race-baiting in what they pretended was "news."
The Washington Post is acting like getting caught being racist nonsense only requires a "clarification" due to "imprecisely" stating that a black Supreme Court justice can't think for himself and only exists as a mouthpiece for white conservatives. A retraction of the alleged news story and an apology to Justice Thomas — and black conservatives — would be more fitting.
Original Post:
The "Democracy Dies in Darkness" crew over at The Washington Post are out with a new report on the Supreme Court that proves just how inane and gross their opposition to conservatives has become. The supposedly straight news story — not some lunatic liberal op-ed — is on how "Jim Clyburn saved Biden’s candidacy — and now has the president’s ear on Supreme Court picks" by WaPo's Cleve R. Wootson Jr. and Marianna Sotomayor.
In framing a quote from Rep. Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS), WaPo decided to characterize Justice Clarence Thomas as "the Black justice whose rulings often resemble the thinking of White conservatives." Big yikes.

The Left’s narrative: “Clarence Thomas, the black face of White Supremacy.”
I thought they had already tagged Winsome Sears with that accusation. Of course, they can use the charge against any black conservative.
Anyone who opposes race-based affirmative action (which is state-sanctioned racism itself) is accused of taking a “white conservative” position - while white conservatives believe we are SO equal that there is no reason to expect less from a black/Hispanic/female employee or student.
It’s time to remove the ‘race’ option off employment applications. (Affirmative action in the workplace)
“The Washington Post is acting like getting caught being racist nonsense only requires a “clarification” due to “imprecisely” stating that a black Supreme Court justice can’t think for himself and only exists as a mouthpiece for white conservatives.”
THurgood Marshall must be spinning in his grave.
What do you expect from the Washington Compost?
Uggo Jeff Bozo should take a one way trip into space aboard his penis-shaped spaceship.
I’ve seen workarounds where the applicant WANTS the prospective employer to know: “African Student Union” and such. I believe this is because especially for companies with gubmint contracts, they have race/gender quotas set by the gubmint (as opposed to the employer itself). Sends a warning to employers: This is a “professional (black/Hispanic/female)”; not a (black/Hispanic/female) professional, but someone who is trying to peddle the race/gender into a paycheck.
Too late for that. Just about every company checks your social media so they’ll know what you look like. If you don’t have social media, well, that’s probably an automatic disqualification.
Bkmk
Why can a publication get away with this? Do we not live in the USA? Yet we white folk are called racist every single day by the left because we support black conservatives. Just wow.
That’s exactly why race info should end. The purpose has been lost and is now manipulated. That manipulation just adds to the division and animosity.
Worse - it has created a two-tiered system where anyone who can check a box is suspect - and should be.
If social promotion and lowered expectations aren’t ended in education first, then continuing race-based quotas in hiring is the natural outcome. We can’t give unearned fake diplomas and degrees to uneducated young people then have them wander unemployable afterwards. The problem is they have the same pieces of paper as real students, and therefore they can fight legal battles about equal opportunity, pay, and promotions - because on paper they are the same (regardless of the reality on the ground). I’ve worked with people who honestly have an 8th grade education but they have Masters degrees; what do we do with them? Mentoring programs can only do so much, as you’re asking skilled/educated people to make up for years of educational/training neglect to maintain the facade of assimilation.
Higher education would oppose any real reform because the tokens are a revenue source for them; my college had a whole building dedicated to “remedial classes”, whereby certain minorities took high school-level classes without which white or Asian guys wouldn’t even be admitted. The “students” spent a year or two catching up, earning no college credits, and several dropped out after a while. Those that survived would start out in a real major but upon realizing how far behind they were other students in basic reading, writing, and ‘rithmetic, they’d just trade down to “soft” majors such as black studies - which could only earn them a paycheck as an aggrieved racial activist (hence the birth of “diversity departments” in large companies). Government, previously the largest employer of unqualified tokens, put legal pressure on big companies to do their share of hiring the fakes - and real workers must endure them.
