I just heard a Chinese Canadian being interviewed at the truck convoy protest. He said that lots of his Chinese community in Canada back the truckers, because so much that has happened has reminded them of the treatment of the people in China. He described the onerous monthly testing, and removal to isolation of anyone who tests positive.
Were the athletes informed ahead of time of what would happen if they tested positive?

Is anyone truly surprised? It’s not a good time to stress your kid’s participation in athletics. The kids don’t understand the political side of things, they’re just eager to compete and win. (When I say “kids” in this case I’m including people in their 20s who have been groomed to compete since they were little.) And now there’s an extra bonus of males being allowed to compete against females. We don’t go to school so we can become pro athletes.
