NEW YORK (AP) — For all the potential peril of a workplace romance, the most common source of trouble, experts say, is allowing it to remain a secret.
A case in point was this week’s abrupt ouster of longtime CNN chief executive Jeff Zucker, who said he was ’’wrong” in not being upfront with the network about a consensual relationship he was having with another executive.
Zucker is hardly alone in finding love at the office. About a third of U.S. workers say they are in a workplace relationship or have been in one — and the trend has been on the rise since the start of the pandemic, according to trade association Society for Human Resource Management.

“ Zucker is hardly alone in finding love at the office.”
He didn’t find love. He found a piece of ass.

Seriously, AP?
Ain’t nobody buyin what you sellin!
He found an A*s, has to be, she worked for cuomo and dated zucker.
His Toadie, Chris Wallace, is now stuck on a foundering ship.
Isn’t all sex between men in a position of power over the woman, per feminist party line, actually considered “rape”?
But it’s not ‘rape, rape’ says Whoopi....
Yeah sure, it was workplace romance.
More like WOKEPLACE romance, and fake news.
Well,it’s a good thing that The Big Guy taking a shower with his daughter wasn’t a work “romance”...otherwise he’d be in *big* trouble!
If Zucker had just filed the paperwork about his sex life, he could still be managing the far left misfits.
Workplace romance?
Word from the beginning was the relationship was widely known around CNN, they weren’t “hiding” anything.
It wasn’t the relationship, the higher ups knew of it for years. It wasn’t the ratings, CNN’s ratings have been falling for a year more, and as long as the talking heads mollified the progressive mob, CNN was good.
Zucker was fired for intimately advising Governor Cuomo on how best to smear women who accused him of sexual harassment; that was the bridge too far!
Workplace romance is one thing, screwing direct reports that you have promoted to their current job is another thing.
A media that doesn’t question Kamala (the turtle on a fence post) will never understand the difference.
ummm, what’s the corporate POLICY on dating let alone dating a subordinate???
Their affair began years before his divorce.
“ummm, what’s the corporate POLICY on dating let alone dating a subordinate???”
What’s the policy of bringing in to the #2 position the mistress you were having an affair with while married?
CNN not finding love at work but Sexual assault victims. The sicko network
that would be a hoot to see in writing
Even relationships among equal subordinates must be disclosed. This way, the managers will know to never make one the subordinate of the other. I personally had to make a decision to transfer an employee when I decided to promote the other in the relationship to a management position. Had I not known of the relationship, I could have introduced issues into the workplace.
That's why the disclosure is important.
