“the Biden administration will argue that lax gun laws and enforcement favored by Republicans are helping drive the rise in crime”
Then we would have seen crime rise in Republican-controlled areas first, but we didn’t, dummies.

Yeah, I’m sure Brandon’s visit will usher in a new emphasis on crime in New York.

"escalating gun crime"
"Gun crime" is left-speak for inner city crime by black punks.

“Democrats at large and the president are frustrated that we continue to get tagged on this ‘defund the police' nonsense that the large part of the Democratic Party does not agree with,” said Mark Riddle, executive director of Future Majority, a moderate Democratic research firm.HA HA!...I hope you and your ilk go down the drain very soon...

They literally applauded the George Floyd rioters and said rioting in the streets was fine while everyone else was ordered to stay at home. These scumbags can’t get away from that.

So now, arresting people who are violent against others and then letting them go hours later (as mandated by New York state no bail law or local DA mandates) and they commit another violent crime, is gun violence/gun crime?
Whoodathink?

They created the mess to begin with. Biden is Bull in China shop. Will never fix anything. He did this because of Jan Pasaki’s interview bashing Fox News crime coverage.

The jackasses can deny it all they want, but if you were to line up all those who pushed for defunding the police, and those who didn’t, it will break down 99.9:1 Democrats who pushed it.
Plus, every single DA who didn’t prosecute crimes is a Leftist.
And nearly every Governor, Mayor, or police chief who catered to this nonsense was a Leftist. Not all, but the overwhelming majority.
So, if they shoe fits, they must be made to wear it.

Democrats want to send a message that they will not cede the issue of public safety to Republicans this election year. They are off to a bad start if they are only going to: 1) Blame guns and not the perps 2) Support no bail laws 3) Support Soros DA's who refuse to prosecute crime.

Sorry, Dumocrats. You got in bed with some very unsavory characters the last few years, and now you’re tied to them. You’ll never shake the lax-on-crime narrative.

Republicans contend that a pandemic-era lax-enforcement era (had to fix that)
spike in homicides and gun crimes in urban areas across the nation is tied to Democratic backingEditorializing right in the middle of trying to establish a newsworthy premise: that is what passes for journalism these days.
Lax enforcement of already lenient laws and policies is not a medical issue; it is an ideological issue.

The only way he can thread the needle between reality and the demands of the radical left is to go to “gun violence” even though we all know full well it is the malfeasance of rat politicians and DAs that is at issue.

‘Rats need to purge all of those who wanted to defund the police no matter how they stated it.
Otherwise they OWN it.
