If Biden was so concerned about blacks in the federal courts, he and the Democrats wouldn’t have held up Janice Rogers Brown nomination to the U.S. Court of Appeals for two years.

“The term affirmative action was created to be a positive thing ... “

But it’s not. It comes down to what kind of society you want. Do you want the leftist society driven by group membership, pitting group against group? Or, do you want the MLK dream of a society where color of skin is not a factor?

For decades we have been going with the leftist version to the point where customers often wonder if a minority representing a company is competent, or just installed due to race.

It wouldn’t be affirmative action if the nomination process didn’t disqualify everyone who isn’t a black woman.

It isn’t, as long as the person is the best qualified.

What makes someone the best qualified candidate?

Years of experience on a federal bench or state supreme court bench might be the first thing you’d look for. For example Kagan was one of the most unqualified appointees - Solicitor General for about one year, Harvard Law School Dean for 6, Rat policy deputy honcho for 3. Even Sotomayer had 6 years federal court experience.

However these are Rat appointees whren has experience and ability ever mattered?

Former Chief Justice Earl Warren, appointed by Eisenhower, had no judicial experience.

Yeah, I know.
That example is not a ringing endorsement of the practice!

Someone with common sense who fundamentally understands the U.S. Constitution and who bases judgments on it without straying from original intent. Also, someone who thinks stare decisis is merely something to consider in a case and not a way to avoid responsibility for a final decision.

Biden also said no to Hispanic men. No to Native Americans. No to Asian men. No to Asian women. No to Eskimos. No to transgender. No to cancer survivors. No to overweight Americans. No to disabled Americans. No to recovering alcoholics. No to Antifa members. No to incarcerated Americans. No to undocumented immigrants.

Especially if their black and/or female. He wouldn’t want to be called a racist or a gynophobe.
