Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Sunday pushed back against the notion that President Biden's vow to nominate a Black woman the Supreme Court was akin to "affirmative action," saying he was in support of making U.S. institutions "look like America."
"Put me in the camp of making sure the court and other institutions look like America. You know, we make a real effort as Republicans to recruit women and people of color to make the party look more like America. Affirmative action is picking somebody not as well qualified for past wrongs," Graham said on CBS's "Face the Nation."

There are two kinds of Black women that could be nominated to SCOTUS.
1. Constitutionally-minded rule-of-law content-of-character women, or
2. Woke, unAmerican, glowBullistas, all about race, whites are racist when born.
Only 1 is acceptable.
It will be affirmative action, and as with affirmative action hire Sotomayer, it will be someone lacking skill.
The biggest thing affirmative action has done for minorities is to make people wonder about their competence. Did that minority person earn the job, or was it given to them?

It isn’t, as long as the person is the best qualified. But trying to make the court “look like America” only for the sake of appearance is still affirmative action by race.
I don't know if anyone had noticed but this would be the third consecutive justice nominated by a Democratic President that is a woman.

Now, now, Lindsay had to take time out from his promised subpoenaing of Hunter Biden, intense questioning of Merrick Garland, unraveling the Clinton Russia conspiracy against Trump, and fighting illegal immigration policies by what passes for national leadership. Haven’t noticed him doing that?? Neither have I.
That would make supreme court 22% black. Apparently blacks would be overrepresented by 10%!
So tone deaf. After the vicious and baseless assaults on our nominees, not even a mild complaint. Lindsay, you could still be a bowl of mush but can’t you even muster something like “It’s a little troubling that the President goes for race first, qualifications second. But I’ll tell you this: whoever the nominee is will get a fair from the republicans, unlike the vicious attacks launched against all Republican nominees.”
But no, such a mild rebuke is too much to ask of the Senator
If you want it to look like America then only 13% of America is black.
Oh and whoever he nominates they will forever be thought of as an affirmative action pick who would never make it on her own. If he wanted them to be accepted for their accomplishments he would have just nominated her with no mention of her color or gender. He wanted her to be kneecapped.
