“Growing up in the 1960s and 1970s was a really special time for children’s cartoons, and the Christmas specials were special for kids then.”

I was born in 1963.
The cartoon specials, especially the Christmas specials, from that period are still the best:

Charlie Brown Christmas
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
Santa Clause is Coming to Town
The Little Drummer Boy
Frosty The Snowman

Cooped up from covid is making me really nostalgic. Here's another: Nestor, the Long-Eared Christmas Donkey, 1977. I probably cried a little during that one, and there are probably a few others I missed.

Maybe its just me, but that was when children's stories, TV and movies really were for kids and about right and wrong, not social programming.
