Word gets out that you’re set to receive the biggest federal retirement package in U.S. history, and you’ve got to expect it won’t sit well with everyone on Capitol Hill.
-snip-
Fauci’s big salary boost came in 2004 under the George W. Bush Administration when he received a “permanent pay adjustment” for his biodefense work to “appropriately compensate him for the level of responsibility.” From 2004 through 2007, Fauci received a 68% pay increase from $200,000 to $335,000 per year.

Excuse me while I go vomit
Surprised he can afford to live in the d.c. area on that kind of crap pay.
Fauci is the “King of the Turds”!!!
Fauxcy got a boost in his irresponsibility pay.
He needs to be docked for his malfeasance and put in the Dock.
🤮
Another mess created by the idiot warmonger, GW Bush.
In a year where some things I had the idea for, and implemented, brought several million extra dollars to the bottom line...I got a $3000 bonus. The directors each went out and bought new cars; not ordinary nice cars...but expensive cars. The President brought me into his office, closed the door and whispered congratulations. I guess because no one else was getting bonuses at my level. I sat in my office looking at the check for a while wondering if I should just throw it away and go looking for another job.
In the end there are three things about any job. There’s the job. The place. And, the people. If you like any two you’re doing well. If you include the place to mean not the company but the locale then that was okay. I had a bunch of friends I really like but only one in the actual company. I stayed when I should have left. Probably because I was invested in the job when I shouldn’t have been. Too bad you only figure these things out when it’s too late to do anything about them. I’m retired.
Bush is a disgusting disappointment and the most unconscionable ASS
Fauci is but one example of why we need term limits on all federal bureaucrats - ten years and out, and no return.
When it came to retirement benefits CONgress put itself in the same category as Law Enforcement and Firefighters. Because, you know, they put their lives on the line every day.
I may be accused of being a conspiracy theorist, but given that former envoy to china George H.W. Bush was an apologist for the communist chinese, his son "W" would take a liking to Dr Fow-Chi.
I left my job last year for ~30% more total comp a year, plus a one time grant that vests over a number of years, for a total of about 50% pay bump if I stay most of the time. Every 5-6 years is a good time to jump for another company to move up to the top of the pay band for your title (VP in my case) in your area.
It’s becoming like the Pulitzer. The Medal of Freedom has just about lost all of its luster.
Bush
Looking back on it, I managed my career very poorly. I should have moved rather than trying to make a success of myself after I realized there was some toxic political problem that I could not affect by my outstanding performance. I tended to just put my head down and work harder rather than manage my career path. Some things only become clear in hind sight.
Corrupt criminal fauci should be stripped of all assets then turned out penniless into the street.
I still went up a huge amount while I was at my first company since I started as a grant worker in a store and made it to Director level at the corp office but I was at the bottom of the pay band for every single position the entire time.
Considering I grew up poor and originally dropped out of college, sometimes its hard to believe how much I make. Truthfully though, I hate corporate America even though I'm very good at it. I expect to retire in 3 years at 43 y/o but could happen as early as next year or as late as 4.25 years from now to let the rest of my stock vest.
And the US Congress, the folks who control the money, have the ability to change that. They won’t.
Fauci and so many others should be rotting in jail cells awaiting trial for murder.
