OK thanks, my stomach is in knots over this as he was scammed a couple of years ago out of a lot of money, and yes thank God he didn’t give them any this time.

If he has credit cards, you probably want to consider placing any or all of them on fraud alert. This can be done very simply by calling any one of Experian, TRW, or the other credit reporting agency whose Name Escapes me at the moment. If he has given his social security number, that is a huge step toward enabling fraud.
