Best I can find out, the unit that experienced the leak and fire was a naphtha hydrotreater. It seems doubtful that this will have any significant impact on production from this plant let alone the price of products in the marketplace.

I’ve worked many years in oil refineries, no one wants to have anything to do with a fire in such a plant. These plants are incredibility complicated, massive, dangerous facilities. Inspecting and maintaining all the equipment, furnaces, pipes, vessels is an almost inconceivable job and these folks perform it so well. Fires and injuries are rare, but obviously not zero which is the desire of every company and employee.
Air conditioning! Which commielibs also want to take from us. Serves both their political and eugenics goals.

There are networked computers that you may ride in.
The fed doesnt turn off all the chargers any more than the your provider turns off all electrical power when you dont pay your cellular bill.
To answer your second question, in reality there is nothing. Functionally the answer can be summed up as “Doritos”.
Coal is what fuels EV’s.
They can do the same with something as simple as a disease!

They can control us by simply closing all the highways and airports.
They can shut down all of our electricity.
40% of oil gets refined to make gasoline.

I live in Baytown. The Exxon-Mobil refinery covers 4,500 acres. This is a very, very small incident. Will have zero impact on gasoline prices.

Bring a tent and a cooler if one is traveling in summer. Wherever the car stops is where you will be staying for the night.

California can barely keep their grid up during summer as it is. Do you think things will be fine if they add say 2MM electric cars on the demand side?

My SUV goes further than that with A/C blasting, and I can refuel at thousands of points along my journey.
