PORTLAND, Ore. — Health officials reported Thursday that there were 1,350 new cases of coronavirus identified in Oregon, pushing the state’s total number of identified cases to more than 410,000.

I too read the saily Oregon death count. Every single one had “underlying medical conditions” and at least 90% of them were past age 80.

There was a bad flu season in Oregon in late 2017. I needed emergency cardiac surgery in Nov 2017, but there were only 2 suitable ICU beds available in Oregon south of Portlandia. That sounds a lot like the continuing 'COVID EMERGENCY".
