As COVID-19 cases continue to rise across the country, Michigan football is taking a step as a team to get ahead of the virus.
Offensive lineman Andrew Stueber told reporters on Tuesday that the players will get their COVID-19 boosters on Wednesday in an effort to keep as many players available against Georgia in the College Football Playoff as possible, describing it as a “full-team booster shot,” per the Detroit Free Press.

I hope they will be ok
This might be a good year to not bet on bowl games.

Even as a Buckeye fan, I wish nothing but the best for TTUN until we play them again November 26, 2022
Uhhh... the efficacy of the booster doesn’t reach proper coverage until FOURTEEN DAYS AFTER THE SHOT.
Hullo... SCIENCE?!

Aggies. I don’t even want to think about how they probably infected each other.
Boosters are the very definition of insanity.
The beauty of insanity is you don’t have to be smart to keep getting the same result.
Wait til they find out they’re all sterile.
Looks like Rutgers might get first dibs
I do believe the Astrazenica (British) people are associated with the eugenics crowd.
Lots of recent reports of young healthy athletes getting the jab and basically falling over dead.
What could go wrong? 😣
Dr. Hatfield, on Bannon this evening, said the booster is useless against Omicron.
No science - all knee jerk reactions & risk with no reward for these young guys.
“...an effort to keep as many players available against Georgia in the College Football Playoff as possible...”
And this is where the lie continues. None of the vaccines, to include any boosters stop the virus. After the shots, any one of them, the receiver of the shots can be infected and can pass the virus to others. The virus is not stopped, the vaccines are just given to prepare the body to do better against the illness after you get it, inside your body. But it doesn’t kill it.
In an article from USA Today:
“In clinical trials, all three vaccines authorized in the U.S. were found to be safe and effective at preventing severe COVID-19 cases. Since then, public health officials have acknowledged the shots aren’t 100% effective at preventing infection – and research suggests immunity wanes over time.”
“In general, most vaccines do not completely prevent infection but do prevent the infection from spreading within the body and from causing disease.”

So the vaccines do not stop you from getting it, nor spreading it... so what difference does it make if a football team gets the vaccinations? If they have covid, they will spread it with or without the vaccination.

I predict half of the team immobilized and won’t be able to play. Cold dark winter of death.
Yeah - it’s (not) funny how both Pfizer and Moderna have come out and said BOTH that their vaccines are ineffective against Omnicron and they’ll need a new vaccine variant AND then came out with - it’s effective enough.
Meanwhile there’s still no solid data on how bad omnicron is and the early data is that it ISN’T - meanwhile in my state Delta is spiking massively with 99% of the cases, still, but they’re ringing the panic bell that it’s all Omnicron’s fault?
BS.
Heart attacks incoming.
Looks the game will go into sudden death.
