Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is calling on the federal government for help in combating crime and violence in the Windy City. In a news conference Monday, the Democrat mayor asked U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland to send in agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for six months to ramp up the number of gun investigations and gun seizures, according to Fox32 Chicago. She also asked for more federal prosecutors to handle the criminal cases those agents will investigate, as well as federal marshals to assist local law enforcement with tracking down thousands of suspects wanted on warrants, the station added.

She would not ask that of Trump, but as a hypocrite cornered by the failures of her own policies she is willing to as a Biden admin for help.
All part of the anti-2A narrative. It’s the guns, not the natives. Hopeless tyranny on display. How many times did Donald Trump offer to directly help there? I recall plenty. But light-head would never let that happen.
In fact, President Trump offered her federal police and national guard to help clean up Chicago’s rampant murder and crime. She turned him down with some snarky speech!

Recently she blamed the smash and grab looting on retailers not having enough security. She said they need more security guards and security cameras.
So now she has decided she needs federal help? With what? Doesn’t her crime problem get solved if only stores have ore security guards?

Any other form of militarized assistance within our borders that would not be within our control or within the direct command of the Chicago Police Department would spell disaster.’
I would love to see the hoods turn into true war zones. How long would it take for the ammo to run out. Clearly the gang bangers need more range time.

It was Bill Clinton who first signed into law a ‘temporary’ federal expense to pay for more city police.
Unless Trump was at its head....then there was never a need for help in large blue cities....not today.... not summer 2020.
