Bernie Sanders: enjoy your moment of accusing Manchin of not having the "guts" to stand up to powerful special interests.
And Ilhan Omar, bask in the rosy glow of calling Manchin's reasons for opposing Build Back Better "bull----."

I’d laugh all day if he jumped out of the Dem to the GOP next year and had it all crash on them.

Of course, Scarborough doesn’t wanti Manchin to join the GOP. He’s advising Democrats not to go too hard on Manchin so that WON’T happen!

Bolshevik Bernie knows damn well that the “powerful special interests” in question are all on his own side, and that Manchin and Sinema are the only Senate Dems with the guts to stand up against them.
Manchin did the dirty work of many other spineless Dems that would not speak up, but wanted the nasty BBB killed dead in its tracks.
Scarborough IS stupid. He wears those “Where’s Waldo” glasses in an attempt to look smart. They make him look even stupider.
If he does switch he’ll wait until the results of the 2022 Senate elections. He isn’t going to jump until he’s sure he’s jumping to the majority. Then he has the 2024 Republican primary to worry about. A conservative opponent could...should end his Senate career.

We can make a trade. Joe Manchin for Susan Collins and we’ll take a crossover to be named later and a future draft pick for 2024. At the rate the numbers are displaying, we could sign a number of free agents the way they are bailing.

Have to agree with Joe S. (spit) on this one. McConnell had been inexplicably accommodating to the Democrats by allowing the debt limit vote without a fight. The later vote showed that he had the votes to force the vote-a-rama, but he didn’t take that route. Thinking he was trying not to push the point to where Joe Manchin just threw his hand in on the greater issue (BBB).
Now the Dems are taking out their frustrations on Manchin. They’re not giving Joe any outs here. He may just feel like he needs to call up McConnell and start negotiating his committee assignments as a Republican.
