Show should have ended years ago. At least the 40th anniversary. Every year it gets worse. Haven’t watched since 2019 to see Eddie Murphy return. 2 years ago today. That was only show I saw all that season. Did see the show with Adam Sandler the previous year on demand.

People have irrational fears of what can’t be see, such as viruses.

Plus they are Godless so fear death.

I did read last night about Broadway and off Broadway cancellations. One show was already seated but someone tested positive and the staff needed to tested. So they closed down the show and audience was escorted out. Refunds or other alternatives will be made for future airings or another show or something. Bit to get in you have to pass a test they required and show proof of vaccinations.

I think, but didn’t keep up, that last year they canceled airings and had few shows. Season ended in March.

That pretty much captures it, yes. You see that even with some of the posters here. Those without Christ in their life, particularly those of advancing age, are terrified of, and all but paralyzed by, the encroaching sense of their own mortality.

FR skews old, probably mostly Boomers and Gen-X posting here. Many of us have no comprehension to just how terrified 30-somethings are. Covid, climate change, you name it. These people have been brought up to literally believe the world is ending.
