Good evening grcuster!
Spent some time traveling the back roads of north and south Mississippi this summer, sure was pretty!
We’re doing fine. We were very lucky here, unlike too many others. no damage but Hubby said he plucked a lot of trash out of the back field today .... boxes, plastic, stuff like that. No idea where it came from.
Any plans for Christmas or will it be quiet like ours will?
Howdy, Kathy.
Fingers crossed for luck that this week goes smoothly for you.
Happy to hear you all are safe radu!
A quiet Christmas here, going to my sister’s house and spend the evening with her and her kiddos and grands. It will be very pleasant.
My family was here Thanksgiving, and so happy to see them!
Planning a trip to NC in the early spring, and finally, going to look for a small house to buy near them, so I can spend more time out that way. WOO HOO!!
Take care dear one!
*HUGS*
As an Airman 3C, I spent part of 1966 and most of 1967 (always the youngest and least experienced in my classes) at Keesler, and emerged as an Electronic Warfare Rpn.
The following 3 years were amazing, working on the SR-71 and RF-4C Aircraft.
Then, as a civilian at a big U, math and especially physics were much easier thanks to my year as a teenage Airman at Keesler.
Sounds like a very nice Christmas ahead.
A big WOOHOO on your plans to move to NC! I really enjoyed living there for 14 years before needing to come back here to take care of Mom. Loved going to the Outer Banks for weekends when I could get away.
I hope you enjoy living there as well.
Gee whiz Kathy, it almost seems like, when I see one of these military bases in your posts, I have been there. ๐๐๐๐๐๐ค๐คฃ A few days ago, it was Tempelhof, which I had been to. Today, itโs Keesler. ๐ I was USAF, from 67 to 87. I went to air traffic controller school at Keesler in 1968. ๐
My husband went to Avionics school at Keesler and the Keesler annex in 1967-68.
We lived on base, on Yorkshire drive.
The tourist Shrimp train used to pass near our duplex.
Howdy, luvie.
Poor David with that herniated disc. That doesn’t go well with doing hard maneuvers.
I was single when I was at Keesler, from January 68 to July 68. I lived in the triangle area. ๐๐
Hey there, radu!
I think the flying was what caused the disc. He had problems for years after and finally had to have surgery. He was so disappointed, but then went on to take private lessons and then private helicopter lessons. Became pilot certified, then had a seizure at work on base and had to relinquish his pilot’s license. That’s what really devastated him. He loved flying helicopters. Jets? Not so much.
A good chance that caused it. It can’t be easy on one’s back.
What a crummy stroke of luck to get knocked out of flying altogether by a seizure. :-(
How's everyone doing this morning?
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
I hope you and Gizmo had another fun time at the lake yesterday.
Well, that’s what happens when one starts typing a post and gets called away from the computer for a while. LOL
Glad you two had a good time and a pretty day.
Such a drag. It stinks when one can’t do what they really love to do. Had to rip his heart out when they told him, “No more.”
