Kyle Rittenhouse Details How His Former Lawyers Had Him Rot in Jail

Speaking to Fox News host Tucker Carlson Monday night, 18-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse revealed his original attorneys, Lin Wood and John Pierce, stranded him in jail while raising millions of dollars off of his cause.

"Lin Wood was raising money on my behalf, and he held me in jail for 87 days, disrespected my wishes, put me on media interviews which I should never have done. Which he said, 'Oh, you're going to go talk to the Washington Post,' which was not a good idea. Along with John Pierce, they said I was safer in jail instead of at home with my family," Rittenhouse said. "It was very long. I lost a lot of weight in there."

"Eighty-seven days of not being with my family for defending myself and being taken advantage of, being used for a cause by John Piece and Lin Wood," he continued, saying he didn't have running water and was unable to shower while incarcerated. "Trying to raise money for their own benefit, not to set me free."

Meanwhile, Rittenhouse's current counsel is working to secure bond funds raised by Wood and Pierce. According to the Chicago Tribune, Wood is claiming the money belongs to his group.

Mark Richards did a spectacular job. His job was to defend Kyle, and during the trial I was frustrated by what I thought was passiveness. But the jury brought back the best verdict, even with difficult circumstances.

Richards might be a bit of a liberal, but, gosh, I’d want him defending me.

Wood is an incompetent self aggrandizing whack job. He should be disbarred.

i thought Richards was so-so...the other attorney was very very good....Richards closing argument was terrible...he jumped all over...kept mixing up names...at times he was almost incoherent...good thing this was such a clear case of self defense.

Smart move to remove Lin Wood from legal teams. I remember the first time I heard him speak at a rally in GA. He came across as one of those fake televangelist a Jim Baker type.

He did more harm to Trump then good with the QAnon theories.

“Wood is claiming the money belongs to his group.”

Wood has become a persona non grata.

Some lawyers focus on the law, and on the welfare of their clients. Other layers focus more on money, and their own reputations. Lin Wood belongs to the latter group.

Oh, and Wood said he’s going to sue Rittenhouse’s lawyer for calling him an “idiot”.

Woods is a flaming dumpster fire.

When Richards call him an idiot, Wood’s response was: “I am not!” and threatened to sue.

That does seem to be the case.

Anti establishment conservatives have come to not like Wood, and IMO, with good reason.

“Would like to hear that argument.”

The Court returns the money to whoever gave the money to the Court. Apparently in this case that’s Wood.

Wood is a scumbag.

Period.

Uh, folks, it's law. The bond is returned to the party that raised it. Period.

One can also question Richard's motives for making an issue of a clear and plain rule.

And someone needs to explain to Kyle that it is the court and DA who are responsible here. He was required to post a $2M CASH bond. Not a $2M bond from a bail bondsman. You don't raise $2M overnight when racist died in the wool communist organizations like gofundmes etc. are denied to you.

So he was out on bond because Lin Wood raised the $2M cash.

Other than that I am not taking sides here.

I learned a long time ago never to take a lawyer's court manners and decisions at face value. And in this particular case, I think one group of people who come out looking like they're just one step above the mainstream media in terms of lost credibility is the endless group of "armchair lawyers" posting during the course of the trial and claiming that Rittenhouse's legal team was incompetent.

The lawyers in the courtroom have the advantage of knowing who is on the jury, and how they respond to different things during the course of the trial. They also tend to know the judge a hell of a lot better than some dope weighing in on his web camera a thousand miles away.

Rittenhouse could have easily been Epsteined in jail IMO,any strategy to keep him in jail to generate sympathy to raise funds was idiotic and dangerous. The “adults” in this drama, are dubious lawyers who push their personal agendas and careers, prosecutor and defense alike, very scary.
