And the push for $15 was fake. People can afford to live on less!

The dirty little secret is high income liberals like her can afford it.
The rest of us….not so much.

I suggest a 40% sur charge tax on Journalist’s incomes. They just admitted here they can afford it.

She needs to volunteer for a guillotine session—it would work wonders for her cognitive faculties.

Well sure...except those with the lowest incomes, which supposedly the liberals cared most about - this was always a bogus narrative, now being proven.

“… on average, getting $430 a month.”
Which is just another means of pumping dollars into the system and thus increasing inflation. I believe the lib media understands this but they’re government propagandists.

Speak for yourself, Leftist media hag.
I am on a modest, fixed retirement income (various reasons led my wife and me to unexpectedly spend a lot on medical and other matters just before retiring). My wife and I do not have the money a lot of younger people seem to have.
I just heard “mainly younger consumers are increasing their spending on luxury items even as others fight higher gas and food bills.”
Right. Screw them.
They’re causing more pressure to increase prices for people like me. Along with government trillions spent without value to the money increasing. Play money thrown around leads to dangerous inflation levels as in Venezuela and pre-WWII Germany.

Notice the logic:
- Social Security recipients just got a COLA
- Families with children get a subsidy.
- Forget that the COLA is less than inflation
- Forget the "jab or job" victims.

"all tied to Covid."
That's their go to mantra. They'll keep that B.S. going 'till the cows come home. The enemy at the gates is...COVID...even if you have to pay for it with national freedom and pride. GTH you limousine liberals. Get a job!

Choose a Dem voter (we all know where they are, mumbling about Trump) and demand they pay the taxes because you did not vote for higher taxes yourself.

Ruhle, like Occasional Cortex are economics illiterate.
Same as the nominee for Sec Treasury.
And one of them has a BS in Economics.

I can afford to be robbed, but it would still be robbery - and illegal. Well said.
Instead of buying luxury cars, vacations and high end entertainment systems, what if someone wanted to set aside money for investment, savings, a fund for their children to attend college and money toward eventual retirement?
They can use all that money for new inflation and taxes. If they have it they can fork it over to the government and to inflation to get less for paying more. Sounds good to the Left.
