In my college days I played classical and jazz band (in school), I did summer musical theatre stock, even was part of a Latin band on Chicago’s South Side.
I played trumpet, and NEVER did I see, or hear anyone express a desire to do this. You waited for time between numbers or between sets, or during intermissions.
