He was the Prime Minister from 1991-96 representing the Labor Party. He was a career politician, never had a real job. He did such a poor job, John Howard from the Liberals (Conservative Coalition) beat him in a landslide election. The Labor Party had been in control for 13 years prior to Keating’s defeat. He will soon turn 78 years old. Even some of the Labor Party people have really criticized him over those Taiwan remarks and his overall position on China.
