A Virginia mother has been blocked from entering her son’s public high school library weeks after she complained about books in the collection being pornographic, according to a new report. Stacy Langton told the Washington Examiner Monday that Fairfax Principal Maureen Keck told her she was not allowed to enter the library anymore. One day after checking out a book with her son, Langton said she got a call from Keck telling her that parents were not allowed in the library and that this was school policy.
The call came weeks after Langton publicly confronted the Fairfax County school board at a Sept. 23 meeting over the presence of graphic books in the library that depicted sex.

Most parents would interpret that rule to mean the school was hiding a bunch of inappropriate books. Maybe by next semester in January, this lady can enroll her son into a different school, one that doesn’t barricade it’s student library from concerned parents.
Parents should take these books to their local police and demand that the purveyors of this filth (the school librarian and principal) be charged with child porn and giving porn to minors.
The main thing is, though, government schools cannot be reformed. Do whatever it takes to get your kids out of these godless, leftist institutions.

I heard one of these books described on a “No Agenda” podcast. It was not just pornographic; it was flat out child porn.
As a kid I remember the thrill of getting my first public library card (it was salmon colored). After proving myself reputable and highly trustworthy I was allowed special permission to check out adult section books. This meant the complete Arthur M. Schlesinger Age of Roosevelt trilogy of thick volumes which I read. Then more and more mostly history and political books.
I went on to get a political science degree and to become a distinguished poster on the respected Free Republic site.
Funny I had to get permission for the adult books but now that mother can’t get permission to enter the library where the children’s books are housed. Times change.
I guess banning parents from the school library is the best totalitarian method to prove there is no porn books in the library. Its also the stupidist.

My first response to that librarian would be, “My taxes built this library and paid for your salary! Move out of my way, toots!”.
The nerve! Glad those idiots keep pushing back. Hopefully this gets out there to the citizens of Virginia. The next election will be even better than last week!

I don’t see how the school can have the authority to keep out a tax-paying citizen of their district. Sure, they can have processes to ensure student safety and security of the facility but outright banning from a public facility is overstepping their boundaries as a tax-supported entity. The VA election result was specifically about such institutional ham-handed methods and will result in consequences for boards, superintendents, principals, teachers, and staff.
Don’t mess with moms.
Well, there is a dad. Who will defend his wife and children to death.

Take you son/daughters out of their high schools and educate them at home or put them in a good private or parochial school.
