Trump-endorsed Green Beret veteran Joe Kent takes the lead in the race for Washington’s Third Congressional District while Republican incumbent Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, who supported Trump’s impeachment, sits at third, according to a Trafalgar group poll.
The poll asked, “If the election for Congress were held tomorrow,” who would they vote for in the jungle primary. This means that only the top two candidates with the highest percentage advance to the general election. The survey currently shows Kent with a roughly six-point lead ahead of Democrat Brent Hennrich, followed by the incumbent impeachment Republican.

This is in the District in which I formerly lived. The grassroots Republicans hate JHB. She has no chance of winning.
So they now have a jungle primary in Washington as well?
They have for several years. The top 2 finishers in the primary, regardless of party, advance to the general election. California does the same thing. Louisiana does too, with the modification that if a candidate gets a majority in the “primary”, they are elected and there is no runoff.
CA and WA don’t have that provision, and the lack of it worked very well in the “ballot harvesting” year of 2018 in California, where a few Republicans DID get over 50% in the jungle primary, and led on election night in November, only to get harvested out of their rightful wins. Not granting the primary winner an automatic seat in Congress gives the Democrats a second chance to fraud up a close election.
She’s stupid. Couda’ faked her way to 10 years in the house and set herself up for life. Didn’t have to support Trump 100%, just talk a good game like the rest. Perhaps she was planning on going in a different direction with her life and decided to go out with a Liz Cheney-like bang.

Butler is in a congressional district that was once deep, deep red.
With the influx of state income tax dodging Portlanders, it is full on purple.
She moved to the center and then to the left to keep her new constituents happy.
