Quite the opposite. They need Trump to get more exposure to rally their base. There is nothing more motivating to many Dems than opposing Trump. Trump has successfully been branded as the symbol of all the evil the left claims all conservatives represent. Sexist, racist, homophobic, xenophobic, mysogynist.

Race-baiting (and their larger project of dividing people into different groups and setting them against each other) is literally the main foundation of neo-Marxist “Progressivism,” which has taken over the base of the Dem party. The one fundamental to remember about the Dems is that they are, as a general rule, guilty of everything they accuse others of. Hypocrisy and double standards are really their only set standards, since everything they believe is based on constantly changing relativism.

There’s a lot of truth in that. The last election wasn’t between Trump and Biden, but Trump vs Anti-trump. Nobody voted FOR Sock Puppet, he was just a check box for the Anti-trump voter.
I wonder how this impacts those pending social spending bills? No doubt many Dims are scared today.

McAwful should have defended CRT more vigorously. He should have called opponents racist, domestic terrorists more often. He should have said that if skirt wearing boys rape girls in the girls room, ya have to break a few eggs to make an omelette. He should have promised to tax the rich and offer more free stuff.
