Businesses Beg Biden To Delay Vaccine Mandate Until 2022 Over Possible ‘Mass Exodus’ During Holidays

Businesses are “pleading” with the Biden administration to delay a plan to mandate businesses with 100 or more employees require vaccines or weekly testing over concerns that, if the rule goes into force before the holiday season, businesses could see a “mass exodus” of workers when many need them most, per CNBC.

Labor unions are already voicing concerns about the COVID-19 vaccine mandate, which was announced in September. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration, which is in charge of drafting and distributing the mandate under the guise of “emergency powers” awarded to the agency at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, has yet to follow up on Biden’s announcement, though a draft is expected at any time.

Businesses, already worried about how supply chain issues will affect the holiday season, are now “pleading” with the White House to delay the OSHA rule until at least January so that they can avoid a “mass exodus” of unvaccinated workers, particularly in the retail and shipping industries.

“Worried that President Joe Biden’s COVID vaccine mandate for private companies could cause a mass exodus of employees, business groups are pleading with the White House to delay the rule until after the holiday season,” CNBC reported Monday.

“White House officials at the Office of Management and Budget held dozens of meetings with labor unions, industry lobbyists and private individuals last week as the administration conducts its final review of the mandate, which will require businesses with 100 or more employees to ensure they are vaccinated against Covid or tested weekly for the virus,” the outlet continued. “It is estimated to cover roughly two-thirds of the private-sector workforce.”

“It has been a hectic holiday season already, as you know, with supply chain struggles,” one lobbyist representing retailers told the outlet..."

Drop The Mandates Or Else
24 Oct 2021

https://market-ticker.org/akcs-www?post=244009

Excerpt:

Denver just tried to fill nearly a thousand jobs at their airport. They had only 100 people show up for a job fair where they expected more than five thousand.

Just two percent of their expected turnout.

As a “federal” place all employees must be jabbed. Nobody wants the jobs and that’s why.

Literally nobody will take the job if it comes with a jab mandate.

Further, and equally bad news, it doesn’t matter if you “today” say you won’t impose one. You might be lying; indeed it is a fact you are lying if your firm employs more than 100 people or does any business with the government, right? Further, even if you’re not lying about that (and you are) a large percentage of employers are once again requiring employees to wear masks. Not give them the option, which is fine — they’re demanding it.

There are multiple places around here who are doing that and can’t get employees. They go so far as to put out “come interview and get hired NOW!” signs — but nobody shows up.

You want to know why we have a supply chain disruption?

THIS IS WHY.

Do you think this isn’t a vote of “NO” on your mandates?

Yep and very few people seemed concerned with the federal employee and contractor mandate which is already out there. They may just bow to the unions on the OSHA one as I am sure the unions contributed tons of money to Biden. But our soldiers and those that invent the weaponry they rely on……who cares about them.

Denver just tried to fill nearly a thousand jobs at their airport. They had only 100 people show up for a job fair where they expected more than five thousand.

The "jab" is part of it. Drug testing also part.

But when you are competing with an "employer" who pays you almost equally to stay home, why hold a real job?

As some one said the other day (I think Victor Davis Hanson), the liberals are killing the American work ethic. And by design.

Well, CNN et al always trumpet that only 0.0000001% remain unvaxed. What’s the problem then. Such a tiny amount they won’t be missed. Eh, CNN?

I will be losing my job with a fortune 500 company in 5 weeks because of this still unregistered Executive Order. It’s too late to unring the bell.

The new year will bring in record high paying job openings that will take years to fill.

So, these businesses really don't care about their employees.

Well, no, of course not.

Thing is, the OSHA rule now under review at OMB is styled as an "Emergency Temporary Standard," as authorized by the Occupational Safety and Health Act, specifically 29 U.S.C. sec. 655(c), which provides:

"(1) The Secretary shall provide, without regard to the requirements of chapter 5 of title 5, for an emergency temporary standard to take immediate effect upon publication in the Federal Register if he determines (A) that employees are exposed to grave danger from exposure to substances or agents determined to be toxic or physically harmful or from new hazards, and (B) that such emergency standard is necessary to protect employees from such danger."

So, if this report is to be believed, we have employers going in, asking that OSHA delay this "emergency" standard, which is ostensibly necessary to protect their employees from a "grave danger" -- which standard will become immediately effective upon promulgation, without the usual opportunity for public comment -- until after the end of the year holidays. Once the employers get over the holiday rush, hey, then they'll be good to go.

A nice group of fascists we have here with "corporate America."

So if this is such a lethal pandemic, the mandate should have been enforced immediately. Why wait? Idiots, imbeciles, and morons are are running our country. Why? Because idiots, imbeciles, and morons can legally vote.

The current government doesn’t care about smaller businesses prospering. Making people dependent on government is what it’s all about. They can wipe everyone out over the holidays, make store shelves bare on top of it, make people’s lives miserable for a couple of months, and then people will welcome with open arms the restructuring of society to give them security.

Nearly everyone I talk to or do business with has no doubt now that we are victims of a massive fraud to cripple the United States. That wasn’t the case before our mentally-disabled “president” turned tyrant with the mandate, and made it obvious.

Hey, military: Are you still waiting around for those “enemies domestic” you are sworn to defend us against to come knocking at your door?

They’re here.
